Admission guidelines for students from Nova Scotia
General admission guidelines applicable to all programs:

12 English or English 12: African heritage

Four additional Grade 12 Academic or Advanced courses

Minimum overall average of 70%
Specific program admission guidelines:

Applied Science (Engineering) – Precalculus 12. Chemistry 12 is required for the certificate program (applicants without Chemistry 12 will be considered on an individual basis). Physics 12 recommended.

Biology – Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics and Chemistry 12 (applicants without Chemistry 12 will be considered on an individual basis).

Business Administration – Grade 12 English with a minimum 70% and Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics.

Chemistry – Precalculus 12 and Chemistry 12 (applicants without Chemistry 12 will be considered on an individual basis).

Computer Science – Precalculus 12

Economics – Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics

Environmental Geoscience – Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics and Chemistry 12 (applicants without Chemistry 12 will be considered on an individual basis).

Environmental Science – Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics and Chemistry 12 (applicants without Chemistry 12 will be considered on an individual basis).

Geology – Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics and Chemistry 12 (applicants without Chemistry 12 will be considered on an individual basis).

Kinesiology - Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics.

Mathematics – Precalculus 12 with a minimum 70%.

Music – Grade VI level for all programs other than performance; Grade VIII for instrumental and vocal performance. Students are admitted directly to the Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Therapy programs based upon an audition.

Nutrition – Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics and Chemistry 12 (applicants without Chemistry 12 will be considered on an individual basis).

Physics – Precalculus 12. Physics 12 recommended.

Psychology (BSc program only) - Grade 12 Academic or Advanced Mathematics.
Entrance Scholarships
To be considered for an entrance scholarship an admission application and all required supporting documents for admission must be received in the Admissions Office before March 1.
